I got the idea to write a short blurb talking about a game soundtrack when I feel that it lacks proper acknowledgement. I doubt I can actually bring that much exposure to soundtracks I like but at the very least it feels good to write about them.
Gals Panic is a series of arcade cabinets by Kaneko that spawned (I think) the whole microgenre of arcade machines where success in the game is rewarded by letting you see more of an image of a girl. The gameplay seems to be like Qix.
While originally being an arcade series, the first 2 games recieved ports to the PC-9801 line of computers. When porting the game, the developers made entirely new music.
It's not easy for me to figure out who made these, because no English resources say who made it, and I don't speak Japanese.
These songs are really good.
