Dragon Ball Daima ending review

Warning: this review contains spoilers for Daima

Dragon Ball Daima recently concluded a few days ago.
I've been watching it since it started and I have to say... it's different. It is it's own thing. It's not GT 2, or a new saga of DBZ.
I can't say I hated it. I can't say I'm totally in love with it either. I just don't understand why they ended it the way that they did. Sure, it was satisfying to see Vegeta smack Gomah around, but did Gomah actually deserve to be the main villain? His intentions were never really 'evil' per se. The worst thing that he did (besides being a tyrant who enforced mass surviellance and taxed his citizens unfairly) was kidnap Dende. and I guess he did turn Goku and co into kids but is that really a bad thing it's Goku he can deal with it

Meanwhile Degesu points a gun at said baby. And this is pretty much the last interesting thing Degesu does before Piccolo slaps him and then he passes out.
I just don't get it. Why Gomah? WHY GOMAH??? Give the tertian oculus to Kuu, Duu, Arinsu, even Marba would have been a better villain than GOMAH.

And look, I'm not saying I have anything against goofy villains, or villains who are unjustifiably overpowered. Frieza was kinda both, and the high point of the Namek arc was when Goku put Freiza in his place, showing him that his own determination and courage overcome the godly power he was born with.
Now, I understand that Daima wanted to take a more comedic approach to the typical Dragon Ball adventure kinda like the original series did. But you can do that and have a scary antagonist! Gomah is not scary, or cool, or anything. He's literally just an overgrown baby. Why not give Glorio the tertian oculus?
Glorio with the oculus would be FAR more interesting. He's been shown to have some fighting ability, but not quite on par with Goku's. Gomah has 0 fighting ability and he became a beast when he put on the oculus.
Here's what coul dhave happened:

Obviously I'm not a writer or anything. But what I do know is that this is not how a 20 episode buildup should pay off. I was honestly expecting a cool new final villain. Why did it have to be just GOMAH??? I'm sorry for the amount of whining I'm doing here but I feel very let down.
Oh, and there's something else I should mention. During the Gomah fight, Vegeta needs to tap out but he doesn't want to. And then THIS happens:

Did the people who wrote this even WATCH Dragon Ball?
...
There was another joke about Vegeta being horny earlier in the show. Has Toei decided that this is just his silly character trait now? Since when has he cared about that???
Yeah, he and Bulma got together, but he would never discard his Saiyan pride just for an Earth woman, even his wife.
Anyways that's it. I don't like the ending of Dragon Ball Daima. Thanks for reading.
